Daily rentals and project listings

A daily price does not become a month. A project listing is not a monthly rent either. Each has its own catalogue.

One day, one price

The daily catalogue collects homes let for a short stay. A day is written beside the price. It can be read a little like a hotel night, but the listing is not a hotel registration. The home is published by an owner, an agent or an agency. How many nights they accept, the cleaning and the arrival time sit in the description or in a reply. The site does not turn those into a standard rule. Two daily listings can be compared only when both are in the daily catalogue. A figure from the monthly list and a figure from the daily list are not compared with each other.

A daily listing can include a deposit. If it does, the page shows it on its own line. It is not presented as a final amount with the night already added in. The currency is still the one the author chose. If you switch the list to sterling, euros, dollars or lira, the figure converts at an indicative rate. The currency of any agreement remains the listing's own currency. The daily catalogue does not publish an average price per night either.

A project is not a monthly rent

The project catalogue collects listings the author marked as a project. There is no month or day beside the price. It is a figure without a suffix, in the same way a sale price is. It does not by itself mean that building work has finished, that a handover exists, or that payment is split into instalments. A sentence of that kind exists only if the person who wrote the description wrote it. The site does not attach one handover date to every project listing. Some of those listings may be a finished site, and some may still be a place where the ground is being opened. Only the text of the listing can say which.

A listing also has a condition field. The author can say new, resale, off-plan or renovated. That field is not the same thing as the project mark. Project says which catalogue the listing sits in. Condition is a short mark the author chose about the state of the home. The two can sit together. One does not stand in for the other. Sorting a home from the project catalogue against a monthly rent budget would mean dividing a suffix-free sale figure by a month. The site does not do that division.
